Cycle route

Cycle 39 kilometres through the border region between Reuver and Brüggen and experience the impressive Grenzgeschichten Reuver-Brüggen cycling route, full of stories and traces from the Second World War. You ride through a varied landscape of forests, rivers and quiet roads, past bunkers, hiding places and places of remembrance that show how people on both sides of the border dealt with occupation, escape and resistance.

A route full of history

A large part of the route runs through Germany. Here you’ll see tangible remains from the war years and experience history in places where it really happened. Thanks to the IZI Travel app, you’ll hear stories, see old images and get background information about what happened here.
