Cycling through historic Meuse towns

During this route you discover several Meuse towns. Thorn is known for its white façades, while Stevensweert welcomes you with its historic fortress layout. The route also passes through Maasbracht, home to the lock with the greatest height difference in the Netherlands.

Along the way you will see monuments that tell the story of the region's rich past. This makes the route a journey through both beautiful landscapes and local history.

The Maasplassen as your backdrop

The Maasplassen are never far away. The water shapes the landscape and gives the route a calm and relaxing rhythm. Around Osen, the Linnerweerd and St. Anna's Beemd, you cycle through remarkable natural scenery.

As the route crosses the Dutch-Belgian border, the scenery changes along the way, while the River Meuse remains a constant companion.
