Start in historic Neeritter
You start at Krekelsbergplein, where many listed buildings come together. More than twenty buildings in the village are on the national heritage list. Take a moment to look around before leaving the village via Bosstraat towards Haler and junction 55. Soon you leave the houses behind and step into the landscape.
Across the border and through the landscape
The route takes you past small forest areas and open fields. After a while, you cross the border into Molenbeersel in Belgium. Here you walk through the hamlet of Heioord, where nature and agriculture meet. What used to be heathland is now a varied landscape with rich flora and fauna.
Along the Uffelse Beek and back
You cross the Uffelse Beek and walk towards the Uffelse Mill, a place with a long history. The mill dates back to the Middle Ages and took its current form after a fire in the eighteenth century. Via the Sniekstraat and along a tree-lined path, you return to Neeritter, where the Sint Lambertus Church lies just outside the route and defines the village skyline.
