Walking and cycling through the Weerterbos
Several walking and cycling routes through the Weerterbos start from Peerkesbosch. Forest paths, heathland and quiet natural areas alternate along the way. You can walk past places such as the Grenskerkmonument and the observation tower. With a bit of luck, you may also spot red deer or other wildlife.
Cyclists can head in all directions from Peerkesbosch. Use the cycle junction network to create routes through the area around Nederweert and Weert. Afterwards, return to Peerkesbosch for something to eat or drink and finish your trip surrounded by greenery.
